Jane Foot

I paint on wooden substrates building up layers with hot or cold wax mediums using oils, pencils, crayons, sometimes collage or transfers - I always embed words and text (most of it hidden or peeking through). I then gouge, scrape and incise using razor blades & other sharp implements. I work in a spontaneous, intuitive & expressive manner exploring shape, line and colour - a subconscious flow of altering and adjusting.
