Jenny Westbrook

I did my fine art degree in my 40's when my children had grown up, I'd always wanted to but never had the opportunity before, I felt very encouraged that I wasn't the only mature student. Since then I have painted nearly every day developing my own unique style. I paint on canvas, wood and board in oils, acrylics and just recently Artists vinyl emulsion which has a lovely flat velvety opaque finish. My work is intuitive and organic, I put down shapes and colours, adding anything new determines what comes next, there are many edits and changes of direction. I feel very lucky to be doing what I love.
